I hope someone can help me solve this riddle. I have a 68 Camaro. Recently replaced all the wiring harnesses, bought M&H wiring harness from Rick's 1st Gen. I have a new dimmer switch. All negatives are attached to the battery, all connections are sealed with electrical tape. And I have a one wire alternator. Here's the problem. The headlights work fine in low beam. When I switch to high beam, the lights start to blink off & on after about 5-10 seconds. They don't stop blinking until I return to low beam. Any ideas why this is occurring? Thanks.

Have you installed some super bright high beams? The blinking is caused by the circuit breaker tripping and resetting. The circuit breaker is inside the headlight switch. Circuit is pulling too much current.

Thanks John! Once again you had the correct solution. We ran down to Auto Zone and bought a new headlight switch and no more blinky-blinky. You rock!
