Also pull the plug apart thats up under the drivers side wheel hump area in the trunk and check the lines for power at the connector there. If you have power there, its somewhere between the connector and the socket. If no power there, then next leg of the wires connect near the emergency brake pedal area, another connector there.
Before you tear into the switch, check power from those connectors. Then switch is probably the culprit.
