Any tips on how to remove the complete headlight switch on a 68 convertible?

This is a great thread, but it focuses on the light switch shaft not the actual switch I've got the shaft out but I cannot remove the rest of the switch from the back of the dash. Thanks.

Green,
There is a special tool made for the nut on the front of the switch, but it can be removed with a pair of robogrips , make sure you use the non-marking pads on them. I have also used a flat blade screw driver in the slots to turn it as well. Hope this is what you were looking for and it helps out.
