After reinstalling the engine I cant get the starter to turnover from the ignition switch. I can get it to turnover from the starter itself. I only installed the one wire harness at the firewall that contains the wiring that goes to the starter etc and not the other harness that goes to alternator etc as I am going to install a one wire alternator and eliminate the voltage regulator etc. Do I have an incomplete circuit without the other harness hooked up? If so can I complete the circuit by wiring it up differently for now? Im just testing the engine not operating the vehicle so fancy is not required. Help please!

Yes I jumped the two purple wires as I have the console out right now. Still not sure how a complete circuit is made, if both harnesses are needed. I have no power at the HEI and elsewhere.
