just lost my low beams on my '68! high beams still work along with all other lights. fuses all look ok. What's wrong?

Well...maybe the bulbs burnt out! Check them carefully. OK, that was the real obvious answer.
Another option, if you're sure the bulbs are OK, is to check the dimmer switch itself and the wiring. I had a similar problem in BOTH my Camaro and GTO.
Also, check your grounds for the headlights and parking (turn signal) lights, especially if they share a common ground.
It might be other stuff, and I'm sure the guys here will add their .02 (two cents...hmmm, what's that in Canadian?)

I vote with Steve, dimmer switch, gets junk in the contacts, plug pulls loose, wire pinched, just pull that switch out, clean up the contacts and give her a go. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]
If that doesnt work, for low beam use those old magnetic flashlights clamped to the fender [img]graemlins/clonk.gif[/img]

I had that same problem once..and these guys hit the nail right on the head! I changed out my dimmer switch and..."presto"...No more trouble! [img]graemlins/hurray.gif[/img]

Now as far as everything else was concerned....

I had this happen in my 78. It may be your high beam switch as well. Unfortunatley I only found out about that switch after I changed every other one. Good luck.
