still a little confused, from what everett told me and by looking at the wiring diagram, a 10g wire from the alt and a 10g from the junction block are spliced togther and 2 10 g come out and one gose to the horn relay and the other goes to the voltage regulator, is this right?

Yes, that is right, except the red 10g going to the voltage regulator gets spliced down to a 20g orange wire before it gets to the voltage relay. It lands on the third terminal on the voltage relay.

Connections on the voltage relay are dark blue, white, orange, and brown in that order. All are 16 g except the orange one.
