There is a "heat sink" looking electrical device attached to the brake/clutch pedal mount (right side) on my 69 coupe. It's up under the dash. What is it?
Thanks,
John

Re: Heat Sink?

My car originally came with a console mounted 8-track tape player. The player itself was long gone when It came into the family, but the "holey" console lid and heat sink where still there. It's sounds to me like you might have a car like mine.

If you have an assembly manual you will see what's called a "convector & lead asm" (part # 7310461) shown on page 431. This was a part of the console tape player system. It sounds as if that is what you have. I've often wondered if this part had any value and have thought about listing it on ebay. Finding a player at a price I would pay will probabley never happen.

Re: Heat Sink?

I got over $300 for my 8 track heat sink and harness on e-bay.
