Just searched all the topics about fuel sending units and couldn't find an answer to this question. Has anyone had a fuel sending unit rebuilt? If so who do you recommend?

i'm not sure who does rebuilds, i think i remember seeing a rebuild service in year one or something like that. but i'm guessing the reason nobody does it is because nice quality repros are so cheap. with the shipping and rebuild cost, its probably not worth it.

Yeah like 69NJ350 said Year One does it for $133.00. They will also recalibrate your fuel gauge for free if you send it along with you sending unit. But for a little cheaper you can get a new AC-Delco unit. I just got one from Ricks and it looks good...

I didn't think you could get Delco units anymore. A couple months ago I talked with Ricks and Classic and niether had the Delco units but a repro. From what I have read from past posts the Repros are decent. I just figured since I'm having every other mechanical or electrical original piece rebuilt, why not this one too. Also, I realize having rebuilt will cost more than a repro. Can you tell where the Delco unit is made?
