i want to get rid of my old style alt. and voltage relay box and install a newer style(80's) alt. due to my HEI,MSD6al,and dim lights problems.what wires do i need and do away with?(68 coupe,was a 6cyl.)

The tech reference series has an item that may be what you need. Go to https://camaros.net/techref/ . Check out item 14.
Wes Vann has put a lot of work into these articles. And several, including 14 have helped me.
