1968 camaro. Two problems. First my brake lights stay on which I hope is a simple brake light switch.Second I had the dash board apart cleaning and painting. Now when I turn on my head lights I have no dash board or running lights. I push the head light switch in one click to have parking lights on and head lights off, my dash lights come on along with the running lights. But also when I turn the head light switch to brighten or dim my dash lights it also dims and brightens my parking lights , running lights and tail lights.I am certain everything was fine prior to the dash coming out? Any idea on what may be my problem?
when you remove the guage pod, there is a little metal hook wire that attaches to the center screw on the dashpod, it needs to be put back on with a good contact, that is your gremlin. it happened to me too.. I freaked out, and after that fix, all was back to normal.
You were correct. I left the piece off when I re-assemble the the dash pod. Everything appears to be fine now!! Thanks
