Question

Has anyone else had a broken tab on the rear window defogger of 4th generation Camaros? What is the appropriate repair? Soldering? A special type of electrical clip?

I had this problem with a Blazer, all I did was re-solder the small wire to the tab (if that's what you are referring to), it is a real pain to get it to take hold, but I ended up using a lot of plumber's flux; you might want to also try plumber's solder, that I'm not sure on, I used regular electrical solder with the flux and a high wattage solder iron. It took a hold I guess, because the defogger still works.

Hope that helps.

I think if you try a large auto parts store like NAPA, they make an epoxy to fix that situation that eliminates the need to solder.
