Do you really have a 205 amp alternator?

While you might only need a 4 gauge wire to the battery what kind of wiring upgrades have you done to the rest of the harness to distribute power to the loads you have that necessitated the 205A alternator.

There is a red 10 gauge wire that runs from the battery to one terminal of the horn relay which supplies all the power to everything in the car except the starter. This wire is also the charging wire from the alternator to the battery in a stock setup. That wire is way undersized if you have added that much current to the car. That redwire is connected to the to the alternator output wire in the stock setup, and from that connection to the fuse panel inside the car. None of these wires is larger that 10 gauge and for the most part are only good for the stock equipment originally installed in the car. If you have a huge stereo, or electric fans these have to be wired with a completely new set of circuits with wiring sized appropriately.

Heres and article on removing the Voltage Regulator:

Fot a stock harness, a bypass connector is sold to bypass the regulator, it plugs in in it's place.

I think you might need to do more than that, tho, to clean everything up.

maybe some details on your setup would help? Is it a one wire or 3 wire alternator (assuming internally regulated)? What kind of "extra's" and how are they connected now. Does your charging system work now?
