I got some great answers from the crew about my HEI. My next question is about the horn relay. I hooked up my battery and got nothing, anywhere. Since I have used an adaptor to eliminate the regulator( using new alternator instead) how does this affect the connections at the horn relay. I read an article that says you should still use this as the "bus bar" for lights, dash etc. I'm getting more confused by the day.

There should be a 10 or 12 gauge wire going from the charge post on the alternator to a terminal block somewhere on the radiator support near the battery tray. There should also be a wire of the same gauge from this terminal block to the horn relay. There should also be a wire of the same gauge going from the terminal block to the positive (+) battery terminal either at the battery or at the battery terminal on the starter solenoid.
