Help,

I have searched through the history to see if I could find some help with my brake light problem, but no dice. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for this problem.

I have no brake lights on my 69! They just stopped working. The parking lights work, so do the turn signals and the hazards. I already changed out the switch. I have checked the old switch and the new switch for continuity, and they are both fine. The switch seems to be grounded fine. What next? I've been trying to troubleshoot this problem for more than a week with no luck.

Help me if you can!

The turn signal switch could be bad.
You could use a test light and see if you get juice out of the TS switch when pushing brake pedal.

Or juice into the turn signal switch. When pressing down on the brake you should have 12 volts to ground on the:
White-input
Green & Yellow-outputs

when you say switch are you talking about the brakelight switch mounted on the pedal assembly? if not this would be a good spot to look, mine failed after a month or two after i bought the car, just broke apart one day.

Yes, I did replace the brakelight switch.

Regarding the turn signal wiring, where is that to be located? Do I have to get into the steering wheel? Should I test it with a test light or multi-meter?

The turn signal switch connector, with the brake light wires, is on top of the steering column under the dash. About 2 1/2 inches long. I prefer a meter but a test light will work. No need to remove or take apart the steering column.

Well, I'm not sure if this is the turn signal switch, but I found the fix.

I ran a wire from the Turn Signal fuse in the panel to the orange lead wire going into the Brake Light switch. I started the car and the brake lights worked. Does this mean that the Turn Signal Switch is bad?? This is a temporary fix, so at least I can drive my baby!

No, it sounds more like there is no power (12 volts) on the orange wire. Use a test probe or meter to verify that after you take loose the jumper wire. Typically lack of voltage on that line is caused by a blown fuse or dirty fuse clips. Check the left hand fuses with a test probe. See if there is power on both sides of the fuse. Scratch the fuse clips and measure power on both sides. If the clips are rusty the fuse won’t good contact.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the fuse for the brakes is also the fuse for the hazards? They are working fine. What do you think?

Thinking.
It still sounds like no input power to the turn signal switch. Try measuring or testing the orange lead without the jumper. Either that or move your jumper to the fuseblock BAT terminal and see what happens.
