Gentlemen,
Im stripping down the wire harness as we speak and after insalling the cs-130. Shall I just replace the existing 10 guage wires from alt to battery and to the horn relay. Or use two 10 guage wires in parallel or One 8 guage wire. I do plan on upgradeing my cooling system using two 40 amp relays.
Your quick suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks Rich

I prefer using one large wire (8ga. or 6ga.)from the alt. to the battery over two small ones. You can then use the post on the alt. to supply future hookups. If you lose contact on one of the small wires the entire load will be directed through the remaining one causing a meltdown.

1 2run,

Thanks for the reply, I decided to go with #8 gauge, even with the multi stran stuff its tough to bend around tight areas. It should work nice. Thanks again, its great having this sight at your disposal, I always enjoy getting others opinions.

If you go to a place that deals with car stereos they usually have fine stranded heavy gauge wire that is very flexible and conducts a little better.
