When i purchased my 79 z28 Camaro,i noticed that it did not have a brake light switch. I installed a brake light switch, now the problem is when i hit the brake my dash lights, and parking lights come on.Does anyone know what the problem may be,or what i need to check?

Sounds like a bad ground(s) or incorrect bulbs in the tail lights. What is happening is the 12 volts you are giving the brake lights when you press the brake pedal is "bleeding" back into the lighting circuits(parking lamps, dash lamps, tail lamps).

The sockets need to be clean and have no corrosion, the bulbs need to be the correct type, (I've heard of people putting a 1 filament bulb where a bulb with 2 filaments should be--causing this problem).
