I was wondering if anyone knows the proper hook-up for a 1969 one wire alternator. I currently have it hooked directly to the battery. I just don't like this hookup...Any ideas?
p.s. Just got home from the track...What a great f***ing day. The car blew my expectations away. First runs with straight turo blue...11 runs from 11.29 down to the mid 10's With one run, an unbeliveable 10.09. What an great small block. I've got to update my profile......ye-ha

Sounds like you have it hooked up correctly. The alternator has diodes in it that will prevent a drain on the battery. It might seem having the alternator hot all the time would be a bad thing but that is the way it should be.
