On my 73 and 74 Nova's (should be the same as the 69 Camaro) the screws are a sheet metal type, 2.25" long from the underside of the head to the pointed tip end, has a 5/16" hex head and the htreads go just about all the way to the underside of the screw head (but the screw only uses the first 3/4" of thread).
The screw using a vernier caliper is 0.186" in diameter on the outside of the threads with about a 0.15" center portion. If I had to guess I would think maybe a #8 ? screw.

they should be a 1/4 head with a 1" long 7/32 shank. Try on of the self tap 1" 1/8.. I believe those should work.
