I have my console out to get repaired and then painted. My fuel and oil pressure gages work. My ammeter and temp gages are questionable. How can these be tested to see if they need replacement. Also how does the low fuel light module get tested. Thanks from an electrical dummy.

I answered the ammeter question (I hope) in your other post. Now for the temp gauge:
I don't really know what's up with your temp gauge without seeing it, but here's a "basics" answer.
1. You temp gauge has two blades on the back of wants 12 v of power from a switched source, the other is seeking info from your temp sending unit (one designed for a GAUGE, not an idiot light). Make sure the gauge pod is grounded, with a grounding bridge wire between the two pairs of gauges.

There are lots of posts regarding these gauges, use the search feature and you might just get lucky.
