I was wondering if anyone had any experience using the Breakerless Se single wire ignition. www.breakerless.com

Haven't used that brand, but am using the Pertronix Ignitor II and it is fantastic.

Doug,
Other than not having to deal with points, what do you like about it? Was installation easy, do you see any improvment in performance, etc.?
Thanks,
Eric.

I am also interested in getting a petronix ignition. I have dual point now. I know I have to run a 12 volt wire from the fuse box, other then that is there any other issues?

Thanks

A down side to Petronics and the breakerless conversion is availability of parts if they fail. Not all parts stores carry them on the shelf in the back room. You could be down for a day waiting for parts. You might find it a bit more expensive up front but check out www.davessmallbodyheis.com You get a parts list and everything used is available over most parts counters... The quality is excellent Your old points dist gets rebuilt and gets curved for your application as well.

I second that DjD. I bought one of Dave's units a few months ago. I especially like the fact that it looks like a standard breaker point ignition. Spare parts availability was also an advantage. He even polished it for me. Cost me about $120 and was ready to drop in and go. Very nice piece.

do not use the pertronix 2, it has a high rate of failure, especially when your 100 miles from home.
