I have a white wire coming from the engine harness that I think is supposed to go to the Coil. I have replaced the old engine (6cyl) with a 350 w/HEI. Does this wire go to the distributor?

The wire that went to the + side of the coil on the six banger is more than likely a resistor wire. You don't want to use that on an HEI. Run a 14 gauge wire from the IGN terminal on the fuse block to the HEI. That should get you up and running.
