Question

My 69 RS has a stupid push button ignition on the dash. How do I hook this back up so that I can use the original column ignition switch. Has anyone done this or the reverse? Thanks guys!

The nuetral start switch(nss) possible went out is usualy why people put a push button start and as for hookin it back the right was see a haynes manual or look at someone elses car that is an easy fix. Check to see if the nss is still there with the wires attached. There are two switches on the steering collum its the closest to the fire wall.

Not only do you need to check neutral safety switch, you must also insure that the crank circuit is working when the key is fully turned. The previous owner may have gone push button because of faulty NSS or just a bad ignition switch...
