im sure this has been coverd before .my drag car still runs after the kill switch has been cut off ,i am running a altinater and cant figure out how to kill the alt to. i did put a kill toggle switch on alt but as long as it is running it doent kill it any ideas would be appreciated

put the switch between the alternator output and the battery.

Dog,
The wire that goes from the alternator, to charge the battery, has to be run directly to the positive battery terminal, or the battery side of the cutoff switch. If you run it anywhere else, it is not cut off when the switch is turned off, and it will continue feeding the ingition etc.
