Hi guys! A little help, please. I desperately need a vacuum hose routing diagram for those nightmare headlamp doors on my `69 RS. I can get 'em to open with the light switch, or close, but not both! Also with a new regulator and new alternator, I can't get the system to start charging unless I excite the field wire with a momentary 12 volts. Can you help?? Terry

Welcome to the club!!!

On the charging system,

Monitor the blue wire at the alt plug, this should be the field voltage from the regulator. Shouldn't be more than 4 volts max.

Basically, what you are doing is full fielding the alternator, temporarily making the alt generate as much as 40-48 volts, just to warn you.

You may have to rev the engine up to 2500-3000 rpm to activate. Make sure the alt bulb works, as in comes on when IGN on, engine not running.
