Hi out there in camaro land. My problem is how to wire factory amp gauge into my 69 that did not come equipped with such. In my logic i tried to series wire off horn relay but the gauge did not like that. There is a 115 ohm shunt(resistor) on back of gauge but i'm stumped on series or paralell and pickup points for tying into circut . sure will appreciate the help.

One of the wires a 14 Ga. black, goes to the power terminal behind the battery, the other a 14 Ga. black with a white stripe goes to the large power lead that comes off the alternator, but it connects near the voltage regulator. The amperage is not really flowing through this gauge, it measures the differential to show a charge or drain on the battery. I would only hook this up if you want the authenticity of real factory gauges. A volt meter is better and safer to hook up.
