I am working on a 89 AstroVan and have a short in the power lock circuit somewhere and need to know how to find it? When a fuse is put in, everything is fine until you hit the lock or unlock and then it just keeps doing it and won't quite until the fuse is removed. Thanks for the help

It could have a shorted power lock relay.

Man droptop, you're everywhere. I guess that I'll have to find the relays. Thanks again.

Last I knew... eastwood company sold a gadget for tracking down shorts, a wireless meter that you moved along the wiring harness, and it would show you the approx location of the short. -Dan

make a buzzer, find a 12V buzzer and wire into each of the power lock fuse terminals (fuze removed) it should be silent untill you trip the lock switch, then it will buzz. Keep unplugin' stuff untill the noise goes away, that should narrow things down. I've had no luck with those "short finders"
