Hi,

I want to build a remote starter switch to bump the engine to reach TDC at cilinder 1 without the help of an extra set of hands.
I know that one can order it with any postorder service. But being in Holland, Europe it will take some time to get here.
So any suggestions.

Thanks for the help.

A pair of THESE, plus one of THIS . Lenght of 12 gauge wire from aligator clip to one terminal on horn button, another piece of 12 ga. wire from oposite terminal on horn button button to 2nd aligator clip. One clip to battery positive, the other to starter solenoid terminal.

**IMPORTANT: Cover with electrical tape all exposed aligator clip part (except where it makes the grip) that goes to solenoid terminal and the back of the horn push button. And PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure the car is in neutral or park, and always use wheel chocks, to prevent car movement, prior to using this or any other type of remote starting device. What's the amp the switch and wiring has to withstand?

Thanks.

The starter draws a lot of amps, but the solenoid by itself doesn't draws much. Think 5 amps max should suffice, specially if this arrangement is gonna be used for short periods of cranking at a time. JMO

Why not just use a socket/rachet on the crank pulley bolt to rotate the engine?
