Question

Trying to figure out a wiring mess that I inherited with a 69Z I bought last year. The engine harness is on its last leg and I plan to get a new one soon (real soon) but I want to try and salvage my original for a spare (you never know). Looking at the factory assembly instruction manual on page 177 engine compartment, at the firewall connector, the resistance wire, shows resistance wire and further up 20 W-OR/PPL TR. I know the 20 is gauge, what is "W"- OR/PPL TR? Is there another wire that is supposed to be there or is this just the resistance wire? My resistance wire is cloth covered black wire.

Thanks,
Gary

Its White - Orange jacketed wire with a Purple tracer (esentially a dashed purple line down the wire jacket)
