i know this question has been ask before but after doing a search, i cant seem to find it again. i need to knowhow the temp gauge wires up, there are 4 posts on the back of the gauge where dose the green and pink wires go i.e. 3&9 or 12&6 also where dose shunt go i.e. 12&6 or 3&9 this would be looking at the back of the gauge. any photos are wiring diagrams would be greatly appreciated

sorry i forgot to tell you this is for a 68 with console gauges, also i would like to know if ther is a way to check the temp gauge to make sure it is working. i have checked the wiring from the sensor to the gauge cluster and it checks out ok. i am thinking that may be i have the tangs at the back of the gauge wrong. thank you for any information you can give me
