Do a search on this forum and the troubleshooting forum for alternator's or charging problems. What you are looking for is the current address for M.A.D. Enterprises in Southern Cal. Mark Hamilton is the owners name and he has the best set-up for converting the GM charging systems to an SI and also helping with "HOT START" starting problems. He is very helpful with problems.

I just made up two jumper wires,at my regulator connector. If I remember right, the first wire jumps to the third, and the second wire jumps to the fourth. The two origional wires at the alternator hook up to the new alt.,with a different(new style)pigtail. The main battery wire just gets hooked up to the new alt.I did it this way,in case I ever wanted to returm to origional.

Everything you need to know: Print it out and you shouldn't have any problems with the conversion.
