My wipers are pretty slow. The slow speed barely moves, and the fast is inadequate. Is there anything I can do to make them work better?

1. Lube the linkage.
2. Check the wiper arms, they may have been replaced with a higher tension spring making the arm press very hard onto the windshield.
3. Measure the applied voltage to the electrical connector. At a min, should be no less than 13.5 volts to ground with engine running.
4. Measure resistance to ground without power on, through the wiper switch, a bad ground at the switch can cause extra resistance, more current used, slower motor.
5. It just may be time for a changeout, its useful life is done.

How hard are they to change out?

The washer fluid pump doesn't work at all. Is it integral with the wiper motor?
