Question

http://www.painlessperformance.com/harness4.htm

(The 69-74 GM Muscle Car harness)

They're sort of local for me and I wanted to know if anyone's used this harness before I call them up and ask them a ton of questions.

Thanks.

Im sure you will hear alot about them Christi, lots of folks here have used them. Give it a little time, holidays slow us all down here. Maybe try the 'search' function here in Elec. forum, type in "painless" and you should get some ideas in the reading there for now.

My family's mini Z (maxima) and 2 Altima's sure hop down the road nicely. The Max is a dream to drive.

We have used Painless and Factory Fit Autowire at RRE. Painless is good but does require some attaching of connectors (plugs) at the end of the line. Factory Fit does also. They are not a direct "bolt in" and go. If you want a bolt in, try (BRAIN FART) I think it is M&M or M&H Someone chime in and bail this old guy out! If you are a novice at wireing I would stay with a bolt in. If not, I like the factory Fit due to its cleaner fuse/control box. Most of the stuff we do at RRE is custom anyway so stock doesn't really help us.

it's m&h. The painless is a one size fits all solution. They are very nice in street rods, and also in cars where the running gear and electric system are heavily modified.

For replacing an original harness with one that's going to run the same things in the same way, a duplicate of original harness can't be beat. I'd go that way even if I was adding some wiring for a stereo and guages and such.
