I'm trying to decide between a stock tach and speedo and 5" Auto Meter units. If I go with a stock tach (in place of the fuel guage) will that require a new circuit board designed for a tach in that location. If I go with the 5" ones, will I have to wire the turn signal ect. that are now on the circuit board. What other type of things need to be addressed in either swap.

What year? I assume by what you said it is either a 68 or 69, since the 67 does not require a new circut "board". I swiched and kept the stock Tach in my 67 and added a fuel gauge and low fuel warning light in the area beneath the "ash-tray".

Sorry, WillS...it is a '69. I have added a console w/guages which includes a fuel guage. I have a "MonsterTach" w/shift light on the dash now, but I have a new dash pad I want to install and I dont want to drill holes in the new one. So I was going to do what I talked about in the first post. But, cruise-in season is upon us in the South and I don't want any surprises to keep me in the garage for any length of time. Does the indash Tach require a special circuit board? Maybe I should make a bracket to go over the dash pad and attach to the metal part near the window and keep what I have.

In Dash Tach just requires the correct wiring there is no Circ. Board

< edit > did you use the Autometer Gauge pod or a Factory set up ?. If its a factory set up you should have the tach wiring in the Harness that was needed for the console gauges.

It's mainly the posts where the topic is an ad that gets toasted.
