Question

on my friends '99 integra, the driver side power lock will sometimes not operate.

when you start the car, it'll auto lock the doors, but the driverside will hang up sometimes. you can see it trying, but it won't engage.

any ideas?

Yeah, sounds like the common failure of the lock actuator.

It will need to be replaced, no repair is usually possible, although I would check for binding, and maybe a cleaning/greasing.

I have not done a 99, but on the earlier years, it's not that bad.

I priced that part after talking to a few people and it was $191.00

i'll rip the door apart tomorrow maybe...
