Im looking for a good quality Alt. Can any one provide me with a part number for a powermaster Alt(105amp/3wire internal reg.) preferably no fancy finish?

Also I currently have a diode hooked up at the regulator to prevent run on when an MSD box is connected. If I convert to this alt. will the Diode need to be used or wired some where else? Thanks Rich

The diode is needed for the MSD ignition. Doesn't matter if the alternator is an internal or external. It's the wire coming off the alternator field, back through the GEN light or resistor wire, to the ignition switch that causes the run-on.
