i have a question what exactly does this yellow wire from the starter do? if i hook it up my car wont run, with it off it does what do you think the problem is? thanks oh i put an aftermarket tilton mini starter in, should this make any difference? thanks

It supplies 12V from the starter to the ignition coil during engine cranking to give the coil full voltage.

With the mini starter you don't use yellow wire just purple wire, I had same problem once. I don't know the technical reason for this just know that's what you need to do.How's everything in Troy? Used to work const down there years ago,gas pipeline jobs.Remember a tavern there that had great sandwiches can't recall the name.I live in Oswego RACERMIKE-68 RS Z/28 #s match heavily modified. GOOD LUCK!
