I have a factory tach that was used in the 69 SS350 Camaro that needs to be repaired, and i plan on using it in my 69Z, however, i have a 06A built Z that requires the 8 grand tach and i am looking for anyone that may have had this type of work done by anyone specifically. I was reading the older posts on this subject but I really didn't find anyone that does both types of work. If I can get my tach repaired locally and inexpensively that will be a plus but finding someone to alter the tach face is proving to be a problem.

Check out my website. There's info on tach repair. The company listed does a lot of Jay Leno's work.

The tach repair was $200. It's a totally new VDO movement so effectively it's a whole new setup. Do a search in the archives, I believe there may be more info in there.

They did no face work to mine.
