My factory tach will not work with my MSD Pro Billit Ready to Run ignition. I have even completely rewired the harness tach with a new wiring harness, any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Mike

Where are you running the tach wire too?

When I installed my factor style tach, I first hooked the wire to the coil. Eventually relized that my MSD box has a slot to plug the tach into. I increased the wire lenght and added a connector and pluged it into the MSD box and now it works.

UM Not sure its on the coil right now I will look at the distributor and see if there is a tach wire. Its a ready to run so it doesnt have a box like the other units.
Thanks,
Mike

Do a search on "tach filters". Nice pictures and schematics for a simple filter worth building. It solved my (MSD)HEI / Tach issues.

I had an old GM MSD box in my car originally and discovered that the feed for a tach was bad. Had to buy a new MSD box.
