i posted this in question in my other thread but i think it should be in this section.

i was wondering how i could wire a new cigarette lighter, the previous owner cut the original wire and used it to hook up an after market cd player. could i just run a new wire from the fuse box to the lighter? or is there another way?

any suggestions would be awesome

How about using the original wire for the lighter and running a new wire for the CD player? If previous owners did not hack the wiring too badly there may still be a pigtail hanging down for the original radio that can be tapped for the CD.

There are accessory plugs on the front of the fuse block that can be used to run a new wire to the lighter, but for long term fixes you may want to consider digging out the original wiring.
