The other day I decided to install a new temp gauge. After I put this in the car will not start. I KNOW IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TEMP GAUGE!!!!! But I am curiuos what I could have bumped under the dash that would stop this from starting. Ive replaced the ignotion switch. Also prior to this the starter is new. But for the smell of it I jumped the starter and it cranksjust fine. Also disconnected wires going to the starter. When attaching a test light to the real thin wire it lights up when the ign. is turned. When I hook a test light from the ticker wire to the positive term on the batt. it lights up(this proceedure verifies ground same thing as an ohm meter would do but different way of getting same answer. So after all of this what could be the problem? Could the solenoid be bad?

on your solinoid you have 2 large cables 1 goes batt. to solinoid the other one goes goes solinoid to starter check at second one with key in start postion.but if starter works and your getting juice from ign. switch then the solinoid is bad.
