Okay, here's the stupid question of the day. I'm going to install side mirrors on my 68. They look like they're off a 67 because they're round. There is one screw hole in the mirror and the mounting bracket. But on the gasket, there's no hole in the middle. Could I have been given mirrors and brackets off a 67 and a gasket off another year, or am I missing something? Thanks. Mark

Dont think so, but consider that you get to make the holes for the screws to mount it. This will compress and keep it water tight. The big hole in the center is just asking for a place to store water.

The hole in the mounting bracket and the mirror edge ARE for the screw. I just don't see anywhere to put the screw through the black gasket. Again, I must be missing something. Mark
