Mine is IGN switched, but check the 67 AIM for accuracy.

Re: ash tray lamp

Sounds like you have it plugged into the wrong connector on the fuse box. It should be plugged into the "LPS" connector as shown in the AIM and the below drawing.

Re: ash tray lamp

Terrible picture, but accurate description.

The interior lights are indeed plugged into the LPS or Lamps terminal.

Mike, did you click on the picture to enlarge it? I thought it's actually a pretty good drawing!

Re: ash tray lamp

If you use the battery connector the lamp will always be on! You SHOULD have a "LAMPS" connector if you have a 67! Post a picture of your fuse box.

Ed these are pictures of a 67 Camaro fuse panel. The first is a picture of my fuse panel and the second one I found on the internet. You can see the labeling a little better on the second pic.

Re: ash tray lamp

Ahh, a great picture of a 67 fuse panel and not the twin row illustration from above.

There it is, forth fuse up from the bottom.

Looks like a brand new fuse box too, very nice.

Re: ash tray lamp

I don't have a ash tray light but if you only want the light on when the ignition is on or in the accessory position you could use the ACC spade on the fuse panel.

Re: ash tray lamp

I could has SWORN there was a spade in the "LAMP" slot but looking at the two pictures, it's empty on both fuse boxes! Maybe old age is getting to me.

Ed you are correct in that there is a spade terminal in the "Lamp" slot and it is used to power the ash tray light (RPO U28) with the dash lights on. Second spade terminal in "Lamp" slot was never installed at factory.
