Oil Pressure Gauge Conversion

Wondering if I may get some direction on this. I want to convert my mechanical oil pressure system to electrical. Is there a kit available to do this, and where would I get it, but also....assuming I need to change the actual gauge, how would I get one that somewhat matches what I currently have in the car. If I need to submit a photo of the current gauge, I can do that. Would places like Ricks Camoros, or Year one have these available, or is it as simple as an AutoZone or a place like that.
Thanks...never did this before, so just want some easy direction.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Conversion

Not sure exactly what details I need to supply. Its a 396 motor and the gauge and unit is mechanical, so using the copper tube. It has the 3 round gauges - as mentioned, I could take a photo if needed, as it is going to look silly if I can't somehow get a gauge that would somewhat match. I want to get rid of the fluid coming into the interior, I had a leak, somehow and now will likely have to change the carpet, so don't want to go through it again.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Conversion

It will take me a couple of days to get out there and get those details. I thought maybe there was a quick repo answer on a kit available. Give me a couple and I will shoot some photos. Thanks.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Conversion

You will need to purchase the matching electronic gauge and sender to replace the mechanical gauge

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Conversion

I'd fix the leak and be done with it. I installed my SW Mech gauge in 1981 when I bought the car and have had zero leaks.
