swapping amg gauge for volt gauge

hello has anyone swapped the amp gauge for a volt gauge on the center console of a 69 and if so is it plug n play or do you have to re wire

I've not done this but I know the direct substitution volt gage is available (seem to remember they were a bit pricey). Perhaps you could find the installation directions online for these and then you'd know. Even if you have to run some new wires, it would be easy to connect a volt gauge.
