Best LED Bulbs

Anybody have a preference on LED bulbs? I've bought 1156/1157 styles in the past from eBay and Walmart and they seem to be OK. But my last batch I bought to replace 1895 bulbs, (bayonet/twist-in base for typical instrument clusters) weren't too good in quality. The LED section was loose and very easy to twist inside the base when installing them. The base was also just a bit smaller than the correct size causing them to sometimes fall out of the socket.

I've been searching for name brands like Philips, Sylvania, GE, etc, but no luck so far. Anybody know of a good quality brand?

Yes, Larry, I've also bought LED's for my interior from these guys and am very happy with them. As I recall, they actually have a list of replacement bulbs for first gens.

Yes, I am aware of them too. I always like to say "You get what you pay for". I am so used to the low prices elsewhere I would hope their prices reflect the quality.

Re: Best LED Bulbs

I actually had to return the LED turn signal/parking bulbs I got from SuperBrightLEDs (full refund if returned within 30 days) Although they were the correct 1157 style bulbs, no matter how hard I tried, they just wouldn't insert and twist into the stock bulb socket. Upon close inspection, I suspect the shoulder of the LED part prevented the bulb from inserting far enough into the socket to get to the twist groove.

Sylvania 2057's from Autozone work fine tho.

Here is the 1st gen bulb listing from the LED site. Pretty handy reference if nothing else.
