Any recommendations for hidden antenna

I don't want to drill a hole in my fender... and I've tried a rubber mast antenna mounted under the dash with so-so results in my area.
(I'll get most radio stations at home but if I go 5-10 miles away, I can only get one station)

I've done some searching here and other sites but the reviews I've read are mixed.

Recommendations?
Thanks.

Re: Any recommendations for hidden antenna

Yeah the experience each owner has is solely based on radio saturation in their area. You can due a few things.

AM is dicey due to solar winds and you get more stations, farther away after sunset. Am used variable mast height to "Trim" your antenna to signal, and avoid static. FM is dicey due to interference from skyscrapers and your environment. FM uses a fixed mast of a particular length for optimal receiving of signals. AM/FM radio sets used a fixed antenna and hoped for the best on both AM and FM. By 1972 GM had moved all antennas to be embedded in the windshield. These worked remarkably well considering.

So there are several "Hidden Antennas" out there that are actually decals you apply at the top of the windshield and hide the cord to the radio in the trim or headliner. These work well. https://www.amazon.com/ZHOL%C3%82-Am...SBZ98ZPM69AGZHOr https://www.amazon.com/Jahyshow-Univ...FBHWEGK02D7DPW

If you want to hide under dash, seat, glove box, trunk or up in the headliner use an amplified antenna, especially if you are in a rural area, such as: https://www.amazon.com/Jensen-Marine-AN150SR-Amplified-Antenna/dp/B000FOUWNQ/ref=pd_sim_23_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000FOUWNQ& pd_rd_r=16WHYHCD12QQX34ECW9H&pd_rd_w=Esbsu&pd_rd_w g=LIcFX&psc=1&refRID=16WHYHCD12QQX34ECW9H Or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013TPDBLW..._t2_B013X8T8BC
Or
You can also buy regular twin lead antenna wire and make a T out of it and lay that under your headliner.

Re: Any recommendations for hidden antenna

I put the little antenna booster box under the dash and it works well.

I bet if someone offered a windshield with imbedded antenna they would sell a bunch of them.

Have you tried an antenna booster under the dash?

Re: Any recommendations for hidden antenna

I used a "Tune Trapper" hidden antenna under the rear spoiler. I think just about any design would work there.

I drilled an elongated hole in the lid and routed the cable inside the structure and down the driver's side hinge. I used sticky wire tie pads to secure it to the hinge.

Re: Any recommendations for hidden antenna

They have battery powered bluetooth boomboxes you can throw in the backseat and stream music from your phone.

Cheap with great sound and no mods to the car.

This is a great idea but I already have the antenna in the fender. Wonder if there is a black plug I could use that wouldn't look too bad.

Head to your local hardware or big box and in the parts section you will find assorted end-caps and plugs in metal, plastic, rubber. Metric and imperial sizes. Usually in a series of pull out drawers.
