Re: Windshield wiper switch on dash

Screws in from the back. You pretty much have to pull the cluster to install it

Re: Windshield wiper switch on dash

Switch mounts to the inside of the dash carrier with two small screws. I just googled it and found several good pictures.

Re: Windshield wiper switch on dash

Just be careful. The carrier gets brittle with age and you can over tighten the screws and crack off the screw holding sockets.

Very good chance they are already broken and thatís why there was no wiper switch installed.

Re: Windshield wiper switch on dash

Mine are broken also. I installed a new switch with 3M double sided trim tape. Works great and isnít noticable.

Re: Windshield wiper switch on dash

You can rebuild the posts with JB weld, then wrap thread with the epoxy to give it more strength. You have to redrill the holes and carefully rethread them, Pain in the a**

And if the car has the optional "wood grain trim" plates you can remove the trim on that side, drill through, and then epoxy flat head machine screws through to the back side, making mounting studs. Then you mount the switch with locking washers and nuts not screws. When you replace the wood trim metal plate no one will ever know.
