Can I buy a "partial harness"? pls look at the pics

So I removed my starter today and noticed that the small wires
going to the solenoid need attention, so I started following them back and of course one terminates at the coil and the other goes to this plug prior to disappearing into the firewall (its the purple one I believe)

Can I buy just the portion that goes from the plug, along the top of the firewall and down to the starter? I know there are a couple of other wires in that bundle but so be it...
heres a pic, taken from Drivers side hood hinge area
Thanks!

Try M & H Electric Fabricators Reproduction Wiring Harnesses for America's Muscle Cars
They have a very full catalogue

And also Letcric Limited https://www.lectriclimited.com/repair-components/

One or the other should be able to make up what you need if they don't already have it on the shelf.

American Autowire sells an original harness , so I would email them with pics and see what they can do.

From what I remember, the original harness is sold in many pieces so you should be able to buy the part you need.

Re: Can I buy a "partial harness"? pls look at the pics

I would look at the connector real close while it's apart and get an idea how well it's holding up after all of these years. Maybe also take the other one apart to look at it paying attention to the main feed connections from the horn relay buss.

If it's just a wire or two, you can get replacement terminals for the connector, get the proper wire along with some loom tape and repair what you have or you might just be able to buy the engine harness and/or the complete underhood harness.

Another option is go back on the existing wires, splice in a new section of wire, cut it to length and then terminate it.

You just need to closely look at things and make the decision on how to repair or replace things. Photo's online can only show so much but your eyeballs should see things we cannot.
