Wiper motors works...sort of

Hello. Thank you for looking at this post and thank you in advance if you have any input for me. Here is my dilemma...

I've known my windshield wipers haven't worked in a while. I selectively drive my car so I have stayed out of the rain..mostly. I am going to the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, TN this weekend and because of the hurricane that is about to hit the NC/SC coast, there is supposed to be a lot of rain on Sunday. A 2 1/2 hour ride home in the rain without fully functional wipers is not a good option.

I just bought a new wiper motor. Installed and it only works when I press in the switch like I want the washer fluid to come out. It works while the button is pushed in but stops at park when the button is released. It does not work on either speed setting.

I know there is power to the motor because of the working while the switch is pushed in. I am a loss where the problem might lie.

Any help is appreciated!

Iím going to guess you have the washer and motor connectors swapped. There are a lot of pics showing the correct orientation if you google it.
