Internal And External Voltage Regulator
I have a 67 Camaro with a 10SI three wire alternator. A few months after I bought the car, the battery died and the TSP 10SI alternator was faulty. I replaced the battery and replaced the alternator with a new TSP 10SI alternator and have realized the external voltage regulator was still connected. The car runs great and the previous owner drove it a long time with the external regulator still attached. What happens if the original voltage regulator is not bypassed? The voltage of the battery with the car off is 12.6 and when running is 14.6. Thanks!
